Private Puppy Lessons

There’s nothing more exciting than bringing home a new puppy!  While it is often fun and exhilarating to welcome home a new pup, it can also be exhausting and overwhelming.  Getting a puppy can be an emotional decision, and we may forget to consider all the time and effort it takes to care for and raise that adorable pup into a well-mannered adult.  From the minute you bring your pup home, he is learning about you and his new environment.  This is the most impressionable time in his life, and it’s also the best time to teach him everything he needs to know to be a great pet and companion.  Choose from one of our programs below or let us design a customized plan to meet your specific needs.

Advanced Puppy Training

This is for older pups (6 months and up) and high achievers!  Continue training to solidify what has already been learned and work on more advanced concepts such as building a strong recall (come), staying with distractions, hospitable greetings and mat training.  Of course, we will also tackle any behavioral issues that have you concerned.  The sky’s the limit here, whatever you want to accomplish, we can come up with a training plan together.

Puppies 101

It’s never too early to start training!  In fact, the first few months of a dog’s life are the best time to introduce them to new, positive experiences and training should definitely be a part of your daily routine.  During these lessons you will discover what motivates your dog to learn and teach them basic obedience and impulse control behaviors that are critical to having a well-mannered dog.  We will also address any problem behaviors that may be developing, and discuss ways to prevent common behavioral issues such as mouthing/nipping, jumping, destructive behaviors in the house and yard, separation issues and aggression.
